I have a long history with this hotel, and while I appreciated its homy and cozy atmosphere, I was disappointed by some recent changes. The new entrance feels out of place and takes away from the hotel's charm. The staff was welcoming and accommodating during my stay, but I couldn't overlook the overpriced drinks. Overall, it's a mixed bag where the charm is fading.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms are spacious enough for three people, and I found them to be clean with a comfortable large bed.
Service
9.0
The staff was really nice and welcoming, even accommodating our late check-in without any issues.
Location
9.0
The location is just perfect, right in downtown, making it easy to get around.
Dining
5.0
While the breakfast had some options, it left much to be desired. The pastries were stale, and service could be slow, especially if you wanted eggs.
Facilities
6.0
Overall, the hotel felt old with ramshackle fixtures, which give it a unique character, though it's not everyone's cup of tea.

I've been visiting Oakwood for years, and while it has retained some of its charm, I noticed a shift with changes to the entrance that detracted from its cozy vibe. The service was friendly, and I enjoyed a satisfying breakfast, but the overpriced drinks and some outdated room decor made me think twice about my next visit. Overall, it's a decent choice, but not without its shortcomings.

I enjoyed my stay at Oakwood hotel, where the cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff made me feel at home right away. The rooms were clean and ready for us, and the quality-to-price ratio was quite satisfying. However, I was disappointed by the changes to the entrance and the recent price hikes on drinks, which took away from the hotel's charm.

My stay at Oakwood hotel had its ups and downs. The staff was warm and accommodating, even when we checked in late. I enjoyed the homey atmosphere and the tasty Kenyan breakfast. However, the charm of the hotel seems to have taken a hit with some changes that don't quite match its cozy vibe, including some steep prices for drinks.

Rooms

The room was clean and ready upon our arrival, but it felt a bit cramped and poorly lit. I appreciated the safe provided, though.

7.8/10

I have always loved the Oakwood, but this recent visit left me a bit disappointed. The atmosphere was no longer as charming with the new entrance redesign, and the beer prices were quite steep. However, the welcoming staff and cozy room made my stay enjoyable, plus the value for money is still decent.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and cozy, maintaining that homey feel with wooden furniture. However, it was a bit noisy from the street traffic in the morning.
Service
9.0
The staff was exceptionally welcoming, staying up late for our check-in and serving us well. Their kindness definitely enhanced our experience.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown Nairobi, making it convenient to explore the city.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the breakfast, feeling quite quaint with local options. However, the breakfast choices could use some improvement in variety.
Facilities
6.0
While the overall facilities are decent, they seem a bit outdated. There's room for improvement to make them more inviting.
